KEC International bagged three orders
for Rs.235 crore. This includes
- The first order is valued at Rs.135
crore from Ministry of Energy and Water Afghanistan for turnkey 220 kV D/C
Tajikistan- Afghanistan interconnection project. The lines are to be
constructed from Shekanbandar to Kunduz (61.25 km) and from Kunduz to
Pul-e-Khumri (95.34 km). The total length of lines is 157 km and the project
is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
- The second order worth Rs.90 crore
is from Power Grid Corporation of India for supply and construction of lines
associated with Chamera (HEP) III transmission system. The two lines to be
constructed are 220 kV D/C Chamera III - Chamera Pooling Station Transmission
Line (53 km). The lines are to be constructed in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
The total length of the lines is 68 km and the project is scheduled to be
completed within 18 months. (project

- The CSEB order is a turnkey order
worth Rs.10 crore for complete supply of towers, conductor, line materials and
installation of 132 kV transmission line from 132/33 kV S/S Kawardha to
proposed 132 kV S/S Pandariya. The total length of the line is 37 kms. The
line is to be constructed in Chhattisgarh and is scheduled for completion
within seven months.
