KEC International has bagged three new rural electrification and transmission
orders worth a total Rs.365 crore.
The first order worth Rs.255 crore is from West Bengal State Electricity
Distribution Company for electrification of 3340 villages, including below
poverty line service connections and new substations. The project will be
completed by August 2010.
Power Grid Corporation has awarded the second contract for electrification in 16
blocks including below poverty line service connections, new substations and
augmentation of existing substation in Bihar. The order worth Rs.67 crore is to
be completed by July 2010.
The third order valued at Rs.43 crore is a transmission order and is a turnkey
project from Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh. The project includes
supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400 KV D/C line from proposed
Bhoopalpally TPP to proposed 400 KV sub station at Mulugu in Andhra Pradesh. The
total length of the line is 44 km and is to be completed by October 2009.
