KEC International has bagged three orders worth Rs.365 crore for various
supply and transmission works.
- The first order worth Rs.185 crore bagged from Power Grid Corporation of
India (PGCIL) is for supply and construction of 400 kV D/C Kameng- Balipara and
400 kV D/C Balipara -Bongaigaon line associated with North East- Northern /
Western Interconnector-I. Around 90 per cent of the line is likely to be
constructed in Assam and the balance 10 per cent in Arunachal Pradesh. The 127
km long transmission line is slated to be completed by November 2011.
- The second order worth Rs.155 crore is also from PGCIL for supply and
construction of 400kV D/C Gandhar-Navasari Line, LILO of 220 kV D/C associated
with ATS Mundra Regional System for Western Region. The line will be constructed
between Gujarat (90 per cent) and Maharashtra (10 per cent). The 251 km line is
likely to be completed by December 2011.
- The third order worth Rs.25 crore is from Central Organisation for Railway
Electrification for design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 25 kV
A.C. Single Phase, 50 Hz Traction Overhead Equipments, switching stations,
booster transformer stations and L.T. supply transformer stations including
foundations, structures and all ancillary equipments for Pathankot-Jammutawi
station of Ferozepur division of Northern Railway under RE project, Ambala in
Punjab. The total length of line is 100 RKM/243 TKMs and it is expected to be
completed by September 2010.
