KEC International has bagged two orders worth Rs 207 crore for various power
transmission works.
The first order worth Rs 166 crore is from Power Grid Corporation of India
for the supply and construction of tower package A8 for Gomati river - Nidhaura
village portion of +/- 800 kV HVDC Bipole Biswanath Chariyali - Agra
Transmission Line associated with North East-Northern/Western Interconnector-I
project. The line stretching 192.5 km is to be constructed in Uttar Pradesh with
completion scheduled for December 2011.
The second order worth Rs 44 crore is from CESC for the construction of 220
kV M/C portion of Overhead Transmission Line from AP TW 2/0 to Kasba under Budge
Budge Unit II Evacuation project. The line stretching 15 km is to be constructed
in West Bengal with completion scheduled for June 2009.
