Narayana Hrudayalaya is expected to inaugurate its cancer hospital in
Bangalore by end-April developed at an outlay of Rs 250 crore.
The 5 lakh sq ft facility having 1,400-bed capacity is called the Mazumdar
Shaw Centre for Cancer Research, after its key promoter Biocon's Ms Kiran
Mazumdar Shaw. The hospital is located in the Narayana Health City campus -- a
conglomerate of various specialty hospitals on the outskirts of the city.
The cancer centre will target the most common and widespread forms of cancer
with a focus on head and neck cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer.
