Siemens plans to invest Rs 275 crore to triple its steam turbine capacity
located at Vadodara, Gujarat. The expansion program was scheduled to be complete
by 2010.
The company's Vadodara plant is set up on 60,000 sq mtrs plot and currently
manufactures single stage and multi stage steam turbines upto 45 MW.
The expansion program will add three productions bays amounting to 14,000 sq
mtrs to the existing production facility and the factory will have the capacity
to manufacture steam turbines up to 100 MW.
