Areva T&D India has bagged four orders worth Rs 350 crore from PGCIL to
supply four extra high voltage (765kV) substations.
As per the contract, Areva in partnership with L&T will deliver these
projects in Lucknow, Ballia in Uttar Pradesh, Bina and Satna in Madhya Pradesh.
Areva is likely to manufacture a portion of these equipments for the substations
at its three manufacturing sites at Vadodara (Gujarat), Hosur and Padappai
(Tamil Nadu) in India. These manufacturing units are dedicated for extra high
voltage transmission products.
