• Areva T&D India bagged an order from Hindalco for 2x220 kV conversion substations. The order involves design, supply, installation and commissioning of 5x100 kA, 1,650 V DC rectifier stations, at each location of Bargwan (Singrauli-Madhya Pradesh) and Lapanga (Sambalpur-Orissa).

• BHEL bagged an order worth Rs 170 crore from Chennai Petroleum Corporation for setting up an energy efficient and environment friendly 20 MW (Frame-5) Gas Turbine-based co-generation power plant at its Manali Refinery. (more...)

• Rishabhdev Technocable bagged orders worth Rs 42.03 crore for low voltage PVC/XLPE power cables.

• Hindustan Dorr Oliver bagged an order worth Rs 53.05 crore from HPCL-Mittal Energy for Raw Water Treatment Plant of capacity 130 MLD. The project will be executed on Turnkey basis and completion period is 14 months. Engineers India will be the Project Management Consultants for the contract.

• Jindal Saw bagged an order for more than Rs 1,000 crore for supply of large diameter pipes and ductile iron pipes for domestic an export markets. Domestic supply orders are from GAIL and HPCL etc, while export orders are from Middle Est. The orders are to be executed by March 2010.

• Dolphin Offshore Enterprises India bagged an order worth Rs 106.18 crore from Instrumentation for structural modification work at unmanned platforms in MH for deployment of Modular rig on turn key basis. The completion date of this contract is May 28, 2011 and the contract will commence shortly.
