Work on the Infopark Metro station in Kochi is set to commence shortly as the revenue department has initiated land acquisition for the project.
The acquisition process, which involves 0.19 hectares near the Infopark Phase I campus, is expected to be completed within weeks. This development is part of the Phase II expansion of the Kochi Metro's Pink Line, which will stretch from JLN Stadium to Infopark. Although land currently leased to companies will be affected, the project’s social and economic benefits are expected to outweigh any adverse impacts.
The viaduct construction for the Pink Line is also progressing rapidly, with U-girder installation underway along the Infopark Expressway. This project will cater to growing transportation needs and support regional growth in Kochi.
