The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has revived its long-delayed Shadipur staff housing redevelopment project by submitting the layout plan to the Delhi Urban Art Commission (DUAC) for approval.
The project is part of DTC’s broader land monetisation strategy, alongside a similar redevelopment in Hari Nagar. Implementation was delayed primarily by the absence of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s Standing Committee for over 30 months.
As per the detailed project report, the redeveloped Shadipur colony will feature five high-rise towers — one with ground plus 30 floors of four-BHK units, and four with ground plus 29 floors containing two-BHK and three-BHK units. The project will include 427 residential flats, plus 228 flats for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), in compliance with Delhi Master Plan 2021 norms.
Additional facilities include two basement parking levels per tower, a separate parking block, a school, clubhouse, and commercial spaces. Spread over 6.898 acres, the project is estimated to cost Rs 446.28 crore.
