The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has invited bids to set up a compressed bio-gas (CBG) plant to process 300 tonne per day (TPD) of biodegradable waste at Astauli, Greater Noida, in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
The contract, with an estimated cost of Rs.80 crore, aims to convert municipal biodegradable waste into renewable CBG, promoting sustainable waste management and green energy generation. The facility will contribute to reducing landfill dependence, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and fostering circular economy practices.
The plant is expected to integrate advanced waste processing technology for efficient segregation, digestion, and gas purification to produce fuel-grade bio-gas for commercial and industrial use. The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s focus on clean energy and environmental sustainability, while also supporting local employment and skill development.
Interested bidders must submit proposals by the closing date of 25 August, 2025.
