JSW Energy is in talks to buy JP Power's Bina and Nigrie thermal power units in Madhya Pradesh.
Bina thermal power plant has a capacity of 500 MW and is expected to have an enterprise value of Rs 3,500 crore.
Nigrie thermal power project has commissioned its first unit last month and will have a capacity of 1,320 MW in the next six months. It could command a valuation of over Rs 9,000 crore provided the coal JV with Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation (MPSMCL) is part of the deal.
