Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a significant plan to improve water supply infrastructure in Keshavnagar, an area that has faced water shortages since being incorporated into the civic limits in 2017.
The first phase of the project will involve laying 10-12 km of pipelines and constructing an overhead water storage tank, with an allocation of Rs 35 crore. The complete upgrade, estimated at Rs 130 crore, will include the building of four overhead tanks and extending supply lines.
PMC is also considering the construction of a tank on one of its designated amenity spaces. Residents, however, are eager for the work to begin, particularly in areas with the most significant supply issues.
