Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a contract worth Rs 186.76 crore from East Central Railway.
The work entails the supply, construction, testing and commissioning of traction substations with assoicated switching posts for upgradation work of electric traction system, from 1x25 to 2x25 kV AT feeding system in Gomoh-Patratu section of the Dhanbad division of East Central Railway. The order is to be completed in 18 months.
Early in the month, the company emerged as L1 for the third and fourth line between Jarapada & Talcher Road, and the construction of a new line between Angul-Balram, which is part of the MCRL Internal Corridor Phase-I doubling project.
