RackBank, a leading datacentre infrastructure company, has launched a AI Datacentre Park in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, the first of its kind in the state. Inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the facility spans 13.5 acres and is built on an initial investment of Rs 1,000 crore, with plans to scale up total investment to Rs 3,000 crore over the next five years.
Designed to support India’s growing AI and data processing needs, the AI Datacentre Park will house up to 1,00,000 graphics processing units (GPUs) and offer 80 MW of power in its initial phase. The infrastructure is tailored for high-performance AI workloads, utilising advanced liquid cooling technology to ensure efficiency and sustainability. The project will be developed in four phases, eventually scaling to a 160 MW capacity.
The datacentre is also expected to serve as a collaborative hub for academia, industry, and government, contributing to an innovation-driven ecosystem. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the project in accelerating the state's shift towards a digital and knowledge-based economy, marking it as a significant milestone in the region’s technological advancement.
