The Water Resources Department (WRD),Maharashtra, has issued a tender valued at Rs 82.83 crore to carry out special repairs to the Kukadi Left Bank Canal.
The scope of work covers comprehensive repair works from km 1 to km 60, including strengthening of embankments, desilting, lining restoration, and rehabilitation of control structures to reduce seepage losses and improve durability. This initiative is expected to boost irrigation reliability, minimise wastage, and support increased agricultural productivity in the command area.
The project falls under the Maharashtra Irrigation Improvement Programme (MIIP) and aims to enhance the operational efficiency, structural integrity, and water distribution capacity of the canal network. Located across Pune and Ahilyanagar districts, the Kukadi Irrigation Project plays a critical role in providing water for agriculture and related rural needs.
Interested and eligible contractors can submit bids until the closing date of 22 August, 2025.
