1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Both domestic and overseas contracts, in which at least one of the parties -- awarder or awardee -- is of Indian origin, are considered.   • Essar Constructions along with Daging Petroleum Engineering International bagged an order worth Rs.129 crore from Gail (India) for laying a 30-inch high pressure gas pipeline covering a distance of 147 km between Jalapur and Boirpada. The pipeline is part of the 450 km long pipeline which GAIL is constructing between Dahej in Gujarat and Uran in Maharashtra. Work on the project is scheduled for completion within 11 months.   • Larsen & Toubro, the ECC division of the company, bagged the contract worth Rs.347 crore from  Kerala Water Authority for the construction of treated water transmission main and associated works like augmentation and rehabilitatation of water supply systems in urban regions like Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode districts.   • PSL bagged an order worth Rs.168 crore from Larsen & Toubro for supply of coated pipes for a Japanese funded project being implemented by Kerala Water Authority. Work on the project is scheduled for completion by December 2006. (project details)
  • Diamond Cables bagged orders worth Rs.21.8 crore from Madhya Gujarat Vij Co. (MGVCL) and Dakshin Gujarat Vij Co. (DGVCL) for supply of 6,975 km of rabbit conductor and 2,200 km supply of AAAC vessel conductor.

B. Overseas Contracts

26 May 06

  • Shapoorji Pallonji bagged an order for developing seat of government and presidential complex at Ghana in West Africa. The project is estimated to cost $36.9 million in which the Indian government has extended the line of credit of $30 million for the project and the balance will be funded by the Ghana government.

17 May 06

  • Nagarjuna Constructions Co. collectively bagged orders worth Rs.362 crore from various agencies. Out of the total contract value around Rs.116 crore order has been awarded by Muscat Municipality for a pipeline project and Sohar water network (Phase I).
