1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

  • Valecha Engineering bagged an order for Rs.98 crore for executing a road project at Indore and another Rs.35 crore contract for constructing a bridge at Delhi. These projects are to be executed in 18 to 24 months.
  • J Kumar Infraprojects secured an Rs.20 crore from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority for construction of sky walk from Kanjurmarg Station (East) to MMRDA Colony, at Virar station (East), at Virar Station (West). It also secured order for Rs.33 Crore from Planning Cell, Engineering Services & Project Bldg for augmentation of SWD system at Catchment No 117 BPT Colony, railway yard and training of Kharoo Creek Nalla.

  • Precision Automotive Robotics Inc (PARI) bagged a Rs.15 crore order from Chrysler to develop an automated axle manufacturing system. The scope of work involves supplying fully automated manufacturing processes with robotic technologies for operations such as assembling, fastening, sealing and testing of axles for Chrysler vehicles. The entire system will be designed, built and tested at PARI's new automation facility in Pune, and deployed in the US through its Detroit-based subsidiary.
  • Artson Engineering, a subsidiary of Tata projects bagged a Rs.36.27 crore order from HPCL-Mittal Energy to manufacture and erect four crude oil storage tanks at Bhatinda. The order will be executed within a period of 18 months.
  • Era Infra Engineering bagged a contract worth Rs.30.90 crore for construction of buildings and associated works at Manesar by National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRIP).

  • Diamond Cables bagged an order worth $37 million (approx Rs.148 crore) to supply transformers, cables, conductors and other electrical products from one of the leading power utilities in Africa. The order which is to be supplied over a period of 2 year includes supply of 2450 transformers and various other products.

  • Punj Lloyd received an order worth $108 million (approx.Rs.432 crore) from Tecnicas Reunidas, Spain for mechanical works on two offsites and utilities Project of Abu Dhabi Polymers Co, UAE. The scope of the work involves steel erection, piping fabrication & erection, equipment erection, painting & insulation.

15 Jul 08

  • BEML bagged export orders worth Rs.44.50 crore from two African countries - Tunisia and Malawi. The orders comprised of 35 equipment worth Rs.21.50 crore from Tunisia, and Rs.13 crore for 18 equipment from Malawi.
  • Sterlite Technology bagged four contracts worth $15.5 million from infrastructure companies in Nigeria, Uganda, Algeria and Bangladesh. Sterlite will manufacture and supply power conductors for these companies.
  • Siemens received an order of around Rs.200 crore from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Sri Lanka for the modernisation and upgradation of the medium-voltage distribution network of Colombo. (more news)
