KEC International has secured two overseas orders worth a total Rs 95 crore
in Mozambique and Namibia.
The first order has been bagged by KEC's Saudi JV Al Sharif KEC from
Electricidade De Mozambique for turnkey construction of a 110 Kv transmission
line and a substation in the Cabo Dalgoda Province. The total length of the
transmission line is 100 km and the project is scheduled to be completed by
October 2010.
KEC has won the second order from Nampower for the supply and installation of
OPGW cable and matched hardware accessories for 220 Kv D/C Eok-Osana-Omburualong
& Khan-Rossing. The total length of this line is 207 km and the project is
slated to be completed in six months.
