KEC International has secured four orders worth a total Rs 471 crore, two
each from North East Transmission Company (NETC) and West Bengal State Electric
Transmission Company Ltd (WBSETCL).
The first two orders from NETC are for the supply of towers, hardware, line
materials and construction:
1. Package A3: 400 kV D/C
Byrnihat Transmission line-route length 119 km-to be constructed in
Meghalaya.
2. Package A4: 400 kV D/C
Byrnihat-Bongaigaon Transmission line-route length 203 km-to be constructed
in Assam.
The transmission lines are associated with 726.60 MW gas based power plants
at Pallantana in Tripura. Both the orders are scheduled to be completed by
February 2010.
The two orders from WBSETCL are for the supply of towers, line materials and
construction of:
1. 400 S/C kV transmission lines associated with Kolaghat thermal power
station on turnkey basis with a total route length of 90.5 km. The duration of
the project is 24 months.
2. 220 kV D/C transmission lines from
Kharagpur 400 kV substation to Midnapore 220/132 kV substation and 220 kV
D/C transmission lines from 400 kV Subhasgram substation to Saltala on turnkey
basis. The total route length is 58.5 km. The duration of the project is 18
months.
